30 Days, 30 Ways: Day 21

Day 21: Challenge - The Dollar Drive! Today's challenge is to help out Hopekids (one of the patient support organizations that we love - they provide fun activities for critically ill children). HopeKids is having their fundraising 5K THIS Saturday and they are still a long ways away from their fundraising goal of $50,000. This fundraiser is one of the largest sources of income for Hopekids (a non-profit), so that they can keep running and providing great events for critically ill children and their families - so far they have only raised $13,000. HopeKids really needs our help!

Our lives have been greatly blessed by HopeKids and we want to give back to them. We are excited to participate in the 5K on Saturday to show our support, however, we have done a ton of fundraising this year, so we haven't been able to make a huge fundraising push for this event. But we thought up something very simple that everyone can help with - a Dollar Drive!

Please participate in the Dollar Drive and visit our team page and donate just $1 to our fundraising efforts for HopeKids. I have physically tried this myself (because some donation pages won't accept just $1) and this one works! They will take ANY amount - even as little as $1! Pretty much anyone can spare $1, right?! If everyone who sees this page could donate $1 and spread the word to a few friends and family, we could make a big difference. Even if you are unable to donate $1, could you spread the word by reposting/e-mailing the link to our team page and encouraging people to donate just $1? If you need anymore information about this race, or HopeKids, or where the money goes, I'd be happy to provide it to you - just let me know.

And don't forget to come race with us on Saturday, if you can. We'd love to see you there!
