Here are four thoughts I have come across lately that I love:

2. "But there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.
He is the light and life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death." Mosiah 16:8-9
3. [Speaking about those who overcome] "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away." Revelations 21:4
(Isn't that an absolutely gorgeous, tender, wonderful thought?? The Lord wiping the tears from our eyes. Beautiful. Visualizing that makes me feel like I can endure anything- to come to that moment.)

The Revelations verse reminded me of a great conversation in my women's bible study class this week about God being the light. Specifically thinking about what light is and does - it's brilliant, glows, reveals, warms. Such a comforting thought of our Lord!

I love those thoughts. Life seems so rough sometimes, and if we can just remember the big picture it will be so helpful!
These are wonderful! I taught relief society 2 weeks ago on A Testimony of Jesus Christ. The lesson mostly turned into a discussion about suffering and the need for suffering. These were some thoughts I had then which this post also made me think of.
1. Suffering is necessary for growth.
2. It is painful to grow physically. Of course it will be painful to grow spiritually.
3. When we seek to take away others's sufferings we are acting in the similitude of Christ. He took all suffering from us which was not absolutely necessary for our growth, for the plan of salvation to be successful for each of us. When we lift one another's burdens we are not taking away all suffering - we do not have the power to do so (and it turns out it's probably a good thing) but we are relieving suffering which is not absolutely necessary. It is a testimony to me that we are naturally like Him to some degree.
