Tuesday - day 2- was a fun, jam-packed day. The adults in the family started out the day in a very special way- Grandpa Hoffman was sealed to his parents in the Provo Temple, along with some other family temple work. It was SO neat to be there together as a family. It was definitely one of the highlights of the week for us.
After we rounded up our various kiddos and grabbed our swimsuits, we met in Payson for lunch and then headed up Payson Canyon to The Grotto. The Grotto is a short hike (but more like an adventurous walk :)) to a small waterfall and pool. It is gorgeous and green and fun. Because of my bum leg I wasn't able to tag along for the walk-hike, so this next set of pictures is from Christy. :)
It looks like much fun was had by all.
After dinner that evening, we headed out back to Amy and Ryan's ridiculously large backyard for a family carnival. This was the brain child of Eric's mom and she gets major props. It turned out awesome and was the perfect activity for the army of little kids we had on our hands. :)
A few rounds of "ring around the rosies" kept some of the kids busy until we were all set up.
At the carnival, there were different booths to visit: a (cup)cake walk, fishing pond, bean bag toss, and musical chairs which eventually evolved into a dance party.

And homemade cotton candy!
Which the kids were very excited about. :)
And then as a surprise at the end, arrangements had been made for a magician show. Which was pretty entertaining!
After the show, the magician made balloon animals/hats/flowers for each kid.

And then the balloons were utilized in an impromtu dance party and some sword fighting.
Summer nights (well, at least 90% of them :)) in Utah are just gorgeous. It stayed light for a long time and cooled off so beautifully that you didn't want to go back inside. Love it.
Next up: Wednesday and LAST clinic!
