Arizona, Christmas Parties, and More...

Yesterday, we returned from Phoenix, Arizona where we attended Brycon's Christmas Party. It was a very fun weekend!

Eric's work flew us all out to Arizona for the party and put us up in the Tempe Mission Palms Resort for the weekend. We arrived on Friday afternoon and relaxed in our room for a few hours.

After freshening up and dressing, we went downstairs to the party. We had a delicious buffet style dinner with prime rib and roast turkey breast. Then there was dessert, dancing, and lots of socializing. It was funny to watch people dance as they got progressively more "tipsy" as the night progressed. :) Although Eric and I didn't get to dance as much as we might have liked, we still got a little time in on the dance floor. Elena had lots of eager friends and surrogate grandparent's ready to hold her while we danced!

After partying for a few hours, Elena got pretty tired...

On Saturday, we had breakfast at the hotel with some of Eric's co-workers, then napped, hung around our room, enjoyed the gorgeous Arizona weather (60 degrees and sunny - perfect!), and then hit the town to see the sights. We did a little window shopping, got lost on the wrong side of the tracks :), ate yummy steaks, went and saw "Enchanted" in the theatre, and got ice cream. All in all a very nice, relaxing time. Some things we really enjoyed were sleeping in a king-sized bed (definitely a must have, we've decided), seeing palm trees with Christmas lights on them, and for me, seeing orange trees!

After coming home on Sunday, we were pretty tired.... and hit the sack! What a great weekend!
