I saw this idea on someone else's blog and decided to steal it....

Today I am grateful for:

1. The Christmas Season. The lights, the music, the food, family, happiness, and a time of year where we reflect on the life of the Savior more than we usually do. This Christmas season I am especially grateful for the new perspective I have because of Elena.






2. Good parents who gave me life and raised me so lovingly. Today I've been reflecting on parenthood. I saw a news headline about a couple who took the life of their little girl. It made me so sad and has caused me to think a lot. Heavenly Father trusts us so much to send us His precious children. They are so innocent and vunerable when they are so little. What a sacred trust we have!




3. My Love! Happy 1 year and 11 months! Just one example of his incredible goodness: On Monday, I was out runinng errands and when he got home, he was locked out of the house in the cold for about 40 minutes while he waited for me to get home. When I got home, we pretty much both just collapsed in bed from only getting about three hours of sleep the night before. While laying there, I told him that I was starving because I hadn't eaten anything since a couple of granola bars at breakfast. I was laying there trying to work up the strength to go make something for dinner, but instead I drifted off. While I slept, he got up and went out to pick up Chinese food. After he got home and we ate, he made me a bubble bath (complete with candles) and hot chocolate and let me relax while he took care of Elena for a little while. What a cutie! He had just as hard and long of a day as me - and I locked him out- and he treated me like a queen, when I definitely didn't deserve it. I am so blessed - what a wonderful guy! He amazes me.




4. Roasted Vegetables - especially potatoes. That's what I had for dinner tonight and it hit the spot. Warm and zesty. Yum!

5. My sweet baby. She is so even-tempered, patient, and happy. I read today that most babies up to about 4 months cry an average of about two hours a day. I don't think she has had a day of her life where she cried more than 15 or 20 minutes total. What she does spend about 2 hours a day doing is smiling and her version of talking. She lays and gurgles, coos, squeals, and make other little noises. It is so cute! She brings us so much joy!
