We have always heard horror stories of the terrible regression that occurs when a new child comes into the scene. We could have never expected what happened next.

Here it is-
Sunday -
Baby Lily comes home.
Tuesday -
Grandmother Brimley the 3rd asks Elena, "Do you need to go to the bathroom?"
Elena says, "Yes," hops out of the bathtub and proceeds to produce a fine fecal specimen in the toilet. This was just teasing us, obviously.
Thursday -
Eric comes home at 10:30 pm, early compared to the recent past, (Catchup from baby time is proving time consuming.) and Elena is awake in bed. Undaunted, Eric enters the room to give Elena a kiss goodnight (having not seen her in like 72 hrs.) The kiss is sweet, but short. (Awkward!) A diaper was changed. Hugs were shared. A heart was warmed.
For no logical reason Eric then asked Elena if she needs to go to the bathroom.
"Yes," she yells running to the bathroom.
Eric has been here before. Elena will sit on the toilet, and prolong having to go back to sleep. However, this time Eric goes for backup, extra milk.
And yes, Elena produced some excellent urinary egesta. Very happy about her accomplishment, holding her ice cream reward with "spinkles," Elena and company danced around the room, and even get to watch her little people movie (very odd movie by the way.) And of course she got to wear her Cinderella panties which were so fun to sit with Dad and watch the movie in, but during that particular time Dad was remembering that milk reinforcement which couldn't possibly have come out yet, and so would have to at some time, and what better time then at that moment while sitting in Dad's lap?
"Elena, do you want to go potty again?"
"Yes!"
And she went again :)
Friday morning -
Yes, she went again. Awesome.
Mommy and Daddy are liking this kind of regression!

good use of pres. monson
i knew it...the moment i had to scroll down a mile to see the "terrible" story! Way to go!!
I want everyone to know that the only reason I'm commenting this post is because my brother is forcing me (upon threat of death) to comment. It's like he needs reassurance that he has friends, commentators. Which is funny since I'm family. Can you count family when your counting your friends? Don't they have to love you and leave comments anyway? Congrats guys!
I am physically on my way to break your arm again right now!
Like I am getting out of this chair right now to come over there and break your arm and bring dinner. You make me so, soooooo...... angry, I'm angry, ha ha ha....
i have to tell you that i assumed briana was writing this post and was quite surprised by her choice of words. ha ha. congrats to the little lady!
