Happy Birthday Baby!

Our little Lily is one year old today! We are so glad she joined our family one year ago today - she brings us so much joy and like I have said before, she has just been an extra special blessing for us during her short life with her sweet little spirit.

Lily charms us anew every day with her incredible cuteness, snuggles, and new discoveries. Recently she's started clapping, shaking her finger at "no's", climbing, and shaking her head "no" and it is officially the cutest thing you've ever seen. It melts our heart everytime. Last night, she sat about a foot away from the cat food at my sister's house and just shook her head at it. :) Lily also keeps us on our toes. We've been worried about her weight gain lately and last night we were doing some reading about what we know about her condition (mostly, we don't know a lot - she is only partially diagnosed - and that was mostly a guess). Everything we found said that the symptoms she has manifested are extremely rare. There are only a handful of infants out there with her problems. She is breaking new ground :( - not exactly in the way we would have hoped for. Although we're not sure how her future will go, we are hopeful that it will be long and bright - just a little tricksy. :)
