On our cancer journey, and especially dealing with Leukemia, we've seen firsthand how absolutely critical blood donations are. They have saved Elena's life multiple times. They have saved our friends lives more times than we can count. Every two seconds, in the US, someone needs blood. We're here to tell you that number is real. Donating blood is a gift of life. I can't think of any better way to mark two years on this journey than helping to give life to others. Please take just a couple of hours out of your Saturday and come give blood in honor of Elena's brave fight. If you don't live in Utah and you are able, please go give blood at your local chapter in her honor. If you can't give blood for some reason (like Eric who can't from his trip to China last year), please help spread the word by posting something on your blog, facebook, etc. asking people to go give blood.
We have a lofty goal of getting 85 donors this year! Please tell your friends, family, neighbors - anyone in the area- and ask them to sign up to come give blood. Eric's going to get a widget set up here on the sidebar soon to track names and times of those signed up, so you can see what times are available. Please contact us to set up an approximate donation time. You can do that by leaving a comment, e-mailing, texting, calling, or letting us know in person. We can take about 4-5 people every 15 minutes until 1:45 (i.e. 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, etc.).
And just to recap:
Elena's Two Year Diagnosis Anniversary Blood Drive
Saturday, March 17th from 9am-2pm
Cultural Hall of Center St. Meetinghouse: 50 South 750 West in Orem.
Thanks for your support! We'll see you next Saturday!

Did you know?
You can donate blood if you are 16 or older (with parental consent under 18).
You can't donate if you are pregnant, but you can if you are nursing! You just have to be more than 6 weeks postpartum.
Hey and if you are out of the area and donate blood in Elena's honor, we'd LOVE to hear about it! :)
