It's Christmas Time!

So, we have about the most fun, festive weekend ever planned and I have been so excited for it all week! I feel like I'm going to explode from excitement and anticipation, so I thought I'd vent a little in a blog and tell everyone about our exciting plans. :) Hopefully, at the end of the weekend, I'll have some pictures to post about how it turned out.

Tonight, we are having a little Christmas party with Amy and Ryan and Co. To start things off, we're going to eat some yummy food, assemble Christmas presents for various family members, and then top it all off with a trip to Salt Lake to see the Christmas lights on Temple Square. I'm pretty sure all of the little ones will be pretty wide eyed and excited for this part.

Tomorrow morning, we have Eric's company Christmas party- at which, he is (somewhat reluctantly) playing Santa Claus. :) When we finish there we are heading home to do our Christmas goody plate baking! Hooray for holiday baking! I love it! There will be spritz cookies to decorate, mint sticks, pumpkin bread, and peanut butter balls. Then, to add to all of that, we are supposed to have a pretty good snowstorm starting on Saturday morning, so maybe we'll get to go outside and play in the snow for a bit! There's nothing like being tucked in your nice, cozy house with no where to go when it is snowing outside! What a blessing that we have a comfortable, warm house during the winter!

So, that's our weekend. I'm sure that Sunday also holds some fun adventures in store - we have a couple of possibilities. But, they all include driving, so we'll have to see what the weather is like. And it is the last Sunday before we head up to Oregon for Christmas! Hooray!
