As I was doing the stuff in the middle of the night tonight, stuff I had intended on doing earlier today if it weren't for Elena's usurpation, I watched the DeMint Forum for the republican presidential candidates. I liked this format better than the typical debate formats, as it allowed a more in depth view of the candidates without the lame gotcha questions.
I enjoyed watching it, and came away feeling optimistic about the current field. I really like all of the candidates at the moment. Rick Perry decided to fight the terrible fires in Texas instead of attending, so we still have yet to see him in action. There is another debate on Wednesday that he may attend.

very interesting, eric. i didn't watch the whole thing, but i did watch snippets of each candidate and it was good to "get to know" them a little bit. thanks for the link.
